Charity is the pure love that we posses for those around us and esspecially our spouse. How do we know if we are being faithful? How do we know if we are truly faithful in our hearts and minds. We are faithful and maintain that faith through our love. That means not lust, but true and faithful and maintaining the love and our eyes on the Savior around every turn. One thing that I have learned is that I am truly challenged. I wouldn't say tempted all the time I would say challenged or tempted every turn I take. It's weird. I know that will happen to me every day. Even if I am stagnant, I am moving somewhere, and if that's for the good or the bad, I am always moving, so I want to move toward Christ. I want to have his spirit with me to fill me full of love and light.
When we are willing and wanting to serve our fellow men above our selves and we are willing to save our fellow men, truly I believe we are actually saving our souls. I love a scripture in D & C: 4:4: For behold the field is white and already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul. What an interesting irony. When we serve others and give ourselves to them. We are actually saving our own souls. Giving ourselves to our fellow men. We forget about our problems we stoop down and fill the love that our Savior had when he paid the price for our sins. When He felt the pains beyond all that could be felt. When we serve our friends or fellow men we forget about lust and want to be faithful.
